Yes, for double garages - they are made of two single garages: the front one is closed at the front and back and open on both sides, one side gets the gate and the other side is open to the rear garage, the whole construction is then rotated by 90 degrees. That would also work as a Janus. For single garages, the leading variant in modular construction is where the front side practically consists only of the gate: having gates in the front and back would lack bracing.

Of course, then that's a completely different use and more like a living space where I pursue my hobby; I also wanted to have it nice. In such a case, I gladly recommend Gerhard Polt's Garage treatise, where such a use is described in detail.

Yes, a large garage is of course not comparable to a normal garage.

When I look at the prefabricated garages here in our residential area - about five to six years old - they seem on the one hand to be durable, but on the other hand the so-called exterior plaster is really bad. In contrast, our masonry and plastered garages - identical to the house - look like new. I would still choose a prefabricated garage, but only with a pimped facade.

How long ago was it? I received an offer last year for 2 x 3x6 garages. Price: just under 20k.
