Since you have already included the ground floor (which I perceive in a positive way different from the standard layouts that pop up here 90% of the time) and the upper floor is in question because of the dormer issue and the too narrow parents' area, a floor plan discussion would be appropriate here in the forum. Don't forget to fill out the questionnaire.

Although the design is refreshing, small mistakes have crept in.
My brief prognosis:
Mitigate the location of the WC door (line of sight to the living area), rotate the room zones on the upper floor 90 degrees counterclockwise so that the bathroom(s) get the narrower section of the house.
Rethink poor ergonomics and long walking distances in the kitchen.

Am I correct in understanding that your building regulations 1. budget the floor area in separate living and ancillary area budgets, 2. count the basement in this, and 3. that a clear height of 1m is the threshold from which an area counts for this calculation? What kind of manufacturer still only moves in whole grid steps (if one follows the as much as possible rule, I see that positively, but it being mandatory is rather a relic of outdated technology)? The basement stairs apparently come from the other side than those to the attic – have you calculated for each step where the head bumps happen (what does say about that)?

It looks very critical, I would definitely want to see that in a sectional drawing, where the staircase is really planned exactly.

Is there also a corridor? I had already asked about the ceiling height. It gets even tighter in the basement with the headroom of the stairs. I suspect there would already be problems with the DIN standards. In CH, probably the only risk is that someone over 1.8 m hits their head.

You understood that correctly. The basement counts as ancillary space and everything above a clear height > 1m is counted towards one of the two budgets.

We have looked at the stairs again and again. If necessary, there would still be room toward the center of the house on both floors. If we keep the deep knee wall, we can still increase the story height of the ground floor, then there is more clearance.

... but also a change in the stair length must be considered. What is that strange offset in the section?
