This is due to the limited Guided Cooking function, which was introduced with the TM5 and is chargeable (48 €/year).

In my opinion, the function is the worst. With a bit of experience, you know which settings you need for what, and you are much faster manually.

I tried this function 1 or 2 times within the first free year and was really annoyed. If someone had demonstrated it to me like that, I would never have bought a Thermomix.

the Quooker is already "cool", my brother has had one for about half a year and it is used intensively for coffee (French Press), tea, cold sparkling water (no more carrying)
BUT: the thing needs plenty of space, costs about 2.5K in the equipment he has, and the original CO2 cartridges are outrageously expensive. There are supposed to be adapters, but since it’s not mine I haven’t looked into it further... nevertheless, the Quooker is quite high on my list of next luxury or nice2have purchases

... ordered it online at 0:10 a.m. ;-) didn’t want to experience a battle at the clearance table :p

This time I also wanted one of the cookbooks, they weren’t available online… and that early there was no battle either :p

Yesterday there were still Monsieurs in the 2 Lidln (Lidls Lidl?) where I was. 2 because the first one no longer had sliding boards for the Monsieur. The second one did. Sliding works great with them, finally he no longer stands fixed in his place in the middle of the countertop because he is too heavy to move, but whether he stays still while kneading dough with them I still have to try...
