The mini oven. It may not be brilliant, but quickly toasting 2 rolls just doesn’t justify using the big oven. Also great for toasting things and, for example, warming up the leftover slice of pizza from the day before. Otherwise, in addition to the usual stuff, we will install a steam cooker. My girlfriend follows a religious diet that involves a lot of vegetables, and steaming in a pot is moderately practical. And apparently, reheating food with it works quite well too. I personally can’t see the appeal of the Quooker. The kettle boils water, and I have a soda maker for sparkling water. It’s much cheaper and you can replace each component independently and inexpensively. I see absolutely no need to spend thousands of euros on a fancy faucet.

We have planned an open compartment in the kitchen unit for the coffee machine. We now use it every morning. Otherwise, a lot has already been written. We also had a multi-zone induction hob with integrated extractor installed. There is more "freedom" in the work area above. Important not to forget the sockets in the worktop. In our case, because we have a kitchen island.

I would rather do without appliances than work surface. This should be at least 2 by 1.50 meters long. I’d rather kneel in front of my oven and dishwasher than give up space. :)

I recently had a steam combination oven (i.e., oven + full steam function). I didn’t get one for the new house. It was too much fuss and cleaning. Now I have a solid, secondhand oven from Neff that can "only" bake. The bread turns out just as good in the oven with a small bowl of water as it did in the steam combination oven.

What I definitely don’t want to miss is a Stabiler with an aluminum foot instead of plastic. Unfortunately, I only have one made entirely of plastic that looks grimy after 15 years and a small food processor that can chop nuts. For making pesto.

The induction stove replaces the kettle. The freezer is still extremely practical and I wouldn’t want to miss it either. Power outlets on the side panel of the island are definitely worth their weight in gold.

And because I like to bake bread, I have a small electric mill for grinding flour and pressing oats. It’s great, but rather an oddity among kitchen appliances.

Oven + oven trays are already worth a lot. :D

I much prefer baking my bread in the steam combi oven than in the oven with small bowls. I find the result much more convincing.

I have a U shape, the leg along the wall is 1.60 including sink + 1.00 (for fridge) + cross leg 60 deep + front leg 1.70 including stovetop. Not that you could really change much about it now, is it big enough?
