Retrofit child safety socket / touch protection

So the ones from Ikea (Patrull) do what they are supposed to, and they are definitely not removable by a small child.

Well, I tested it, nothing happens :p RCD was faster, but who knows what kids test anyway.

Do I understand correctly that things like this only cost 2-3 € more than regular sockets?

Ok. We have the M Smart series from Merten. There, a socket with the touch protection (without frame) costs 4.xx EUR. But you also have to wire it properly again (that also takes an "afternoon"). Do you have to pay attention to anything during the wiring or anything in the fuse box?? I think I misunderstood that you are not allowed to "alter" the socket – this is based on sealing it with a "plate." So that the plug sits less deep and that can in turn cause damage. And I thought you are not allowed to "change" the electrical system as such. Well, my general contractor and his electrical followers are collecting more and more negative points... Who would have thought to advise the builder to have safe sockets in the children's room...
