Yeah. A little bit for sure.
Numbers: One kilo of wood delivers about one heat kWh into your house. This produces 1.8 kg of CO2. (sounds crazy, but it is ;-))
Producing one heat kWh via the heat pump emits 0.14 kg of CO2. With genuine green electricity or photovoltaic power from the roof, that’s about a factor of 10 less again.

So wood versus heat pump is somewhere between 10:1 and 100:1.
In other words: This "Just a little cozy heat on the weekend!" doubles the CO2 emissions of your heating system.

Now we just need enough green electricity ;)

Yes, of course. Everyone can join!

(But even without it, it is already at least ten times lower in CO2, so...)

The only problem is that the tree releases the same amount of CO2 if it rots unused in the forest.

that does not exist - rotting unused in the forest. There it is decomposed by microorganisms and brings added value to the soil and the ecosystem. Your argument is therefore not only wrong but also completely impossible. I would rather have wood rot than be burned. If it is about utility, then the natural cycle is indeed a greater benefit than the fireplace as a show and amusement object.

1 kg wood, moisture content 12-15%, already brings 4 kWh of heat energy into the house at an efficiency of 85-90% of a basic stove.
I haven't even turned on the heating in February yet.
How much % of electricity is generated by coal in winter (Dec-Feb), 40%?
More like 45%, and probably the balance not looking good.
