Hello everyone! I am hoping for your input ... sometimes, as is well known, you can't see the forest for the trees – at least, that's how it seems to me  I am looking for similar floor plans to my little forest house. It is a small (settlement) house built in the early 1960s. My "problem" is that the staircase is located in the outer corner of the house, so it stands not only along one but two exterior walls. In most floor plans nowadays, staircases are usually found inside the house. Is there perhaps a specific term for this "type of staircase," or can anyone think of a keyword under which I could search for suitable floor plans? My little forest house is just about 80m2 in size, and I want to start looking for ideas on how to "redesign" it later on (even though it will probably be a long time from now) without losing its charm. ;)

The two-flight straight staircase is usually referred to here in the forum as a "Podesttreppe" - the term is unofficial/non-standardized but very popular here. A house floor plan with the staircase located in the corner does not have a specific / special name.

Without measurements and other features, such as roof shape, plot, etc., there is little that can be said.

You will hardly find a similar floor plan for such a small house.

Just make a room concept and upload the sketch of the floors here.

Corner location - thanks, I was looking for such a term! Simple and to the point, and I probably wouldn’t have thought of it in my life at the moment  Then I’ll try it with this once ;)

Thanks, I will definitely do that when the opportunity arises. Since a development is not yet finalized at the moment, I just wanted to get some inspiration from other houses of this kind first. It's not about the same size either, without an additional extension it won't work anyway ;) But even then, I've already seen the most diverse things... only a staircase in a corner position I haven't seen that often.

Who knows if it will still have a corner position after an extension – we don’t know the plot or the building window ...
