Without going into much detail, I would say that "it must" work. There are also many 400m² plots on which a normal house of 10x10m is built. I wouldn't make the angle too sharp so that the area completed to a rectangle (I hope you know what I mean) doesn't become too large. But if you don't plan large lawns for playing soccer etc., then it should be possible. The bungalow will occupy about 140m² and the rest of the development about 60-70m², so you would have a little more than one third built up. You of course have to check to what extent you comply with the [Grundflächenzahl] and whether anyone even controls that...

I don't think it will be that simple. As far as I know, you generally can't build the carport directly on the street. Then there are maximum boundary building lengths, often limited to 15 m. In this case, about 7 m would already go through the hut, and the carport would be built at least 12 m along the street. Although the carport, as drawn, doesn’t look like it's made for more than one car. And parking spaces should be available for 2 to 3 cars.

Do you already have an architect on board?

Carport is like a garage and can be built directly on the street - but it always depends on the [Bebauungsplan]. If the floor area ratio is 0.3, you can usually exceed the floor area ratio by another 50% with the outbuildings, so it should not be a problem.

Thank you very much for your answers. According to the development plan, the carport may directly abut the adjacent sidewalk. You definitely ease my worries a bit.

I think I know what you mean. We only want to use the angle for the covered terrace so that it is somewhat sheltered from the wind, as it is often very windy here.

I think it will be problematic to impossible.
Briefly surfing the WWW, it is said that the Brandenburg Building Regulations state that 3 meters must be kept clear in front of public roads and sidewalks.
Let's assume your statement from #10 is correct.
Then squeeze a 6 x 6 carport into the upper right corner. That leaves 9 meters in front for the house next to the carport or 12 meters in width if you keep a 6-meter distance to the front.
We stick with the optimum of 12 meters width: how many rooms do you get in a 120 or even 130 sqm bungalow? And how long will you be if you place three bedrooms side by side (optimum east), plus a bathroom and utility room, so that kitchen, dining, and living are located in the south and west? Have a look at common house providers to see how they plan a small! bungalow for 4 people. And see how wide the angular bungalows are.
An alternative would be Danish wooden houses, which also come long and narrow: just take a look to see where on the plot you end up not only by length but also by the built-up area.

Is there a compelling reason to build a bungalow?

These would be the dimensions of the bungalow, and with the house construction company we have chosen, we could adjust the width to fit the plot. For them, the only requirement is that the total living area must be maintained.
Do I have a flaw in my thinking?! They would watch out if we wanted to rotate it and adjust the floor plan.

We simply like the bungalow best. We currently also live in a bungalow and really like the barrier-free living. I have already had knee surgery and wouldn’t have been able to climb stairs during that time. Hence the desire for the bungalow. We see with our parents and grandparents how much they resent the stairs in their houses. We want to spare ourselves that.
