but it’s also strange, I have my own wall facing the neighbor.... we don’t share the walls

To be honest, I wouldn't install pipes in the wall to the neighbor, and that's for soundproofing reasons. If they later hear your water running, trouble is inevitable. There may also be corresponding regulations for this, but I don't know. I also find pre-wall constructions partly practical, and you hardly notice the loss of space (at least that's how it is for me).

That is indeed true, but if you install cables in your wall, the wall is no longer as thick in those spots. If the neighbor does the same in the same place, it becomes even more critical. Mass simply absorbs the sound.

I'll give you something to consider. If you have water pipes "chased" into the wall, the wall is thinner at that spot. So, in our case, the pipes for the bathtub run through a wall to the children's room, and despite insulation, you can hear it very loudly in the children's room. So I wasn't allowed to bathe once the child was in bed. Now we are swapping the rooms, but I wish there was a carrier wall there.

There is a world of difference between an Alibert from the 70s and modern mirrored cabinets. With ours, you only see mirrors from the front. But like everything, it's a matter of taste. I prefer to have everything in the cabinet. And the pre-wall element takes up space, you have to calculate 10 - 15 cm more space.

Only for the sink, only the sink facing the children's room, does it make a lot of noise? It used to be like that after all....
