Is it possible to make old tiles look beautiful again? With tile paint?

Hello forum community,

these tiles are old. It didn’t bother us at first but now we would like to change them.
They are located directly at the entrance area, in the hallway where the stairs branch off, and in the kitchen.

My wife would like to paint the tiles with the color Misspompadour.
So far we have heard that tile paint often does not live up to its promises. However, that applied to the bathroom or the area in the kitchen above the countertop where water or steam often come into contact.

How does it look in the area I described?

Old tiles out and new ones in. You won’t get the old things "beautiful" anymore.

I would install a thin click vinyl. Especially in walking areas, the tile color will not last long.

Third opinion, 2-3 suggestions: I put it this way: the tiles will come back sooner than you think. The format is already known as Metro tile. Beige now wins over gray/black. Either update the room design with furniture and walls a bit. If that doesn't help, Misspompadour. If it looks bad or doesn't hold, you can always lay new design flooring or retile.

If you really want to paint, then buy special tile paint. It is correspondingly durable. With "normal" paints, I would be worried that it would wear off quickly again and then look even worse than before. Links are not allowed to be posted here, so you have to google it yourself.

Matte paint for wood and furniture does not exactly sound like durable floor paint.
