Ouch, but that could be accurate. We also have two girls and both have studied. That should not be overlooked.
The studies, accommodation and possibly some maintenance costs also continue to apply. ;)
Yep, children cost money and love, and not a little of both.

...I consider that exaggerated. Let's say 20 years, that would be €25,000/year per child, so > €2,000 / month. If that were the case, we would have a negative household income with 4 children... :D

You forget the costs for the nanny and the additional 2 rooms of your Munich penthouse apartment :p

That’s the nasty part... here, full-day daycare costs 560,-... in the countryside! A friend in Stuttgart (!) pays 350... elsewhere in Germany it’s even free. Pure madness.

Yes, that is really quite unfair. I am also more rural (small town) in Bavaria and as far as I know there is a 100€ daycare subsidy from the state, so it only costs 18€ (actually 118€) if I understood correctly. But here my wife's employer pays for it. It used to be 145€, now only 18€.

In BY there are 250 euros per child on top in the 2nd and 3rd year. Your own fault if you don't live in BY ;)

To the OP: that would be too tight for me. Maybe 100sqm would be enough?
