Is a tile height of 2 meters in the shower enough?

Hello, thank you very much for your help. However, I was not very precise. The L-wall will be completely tiled, including on top. But the "actual" wall, to which the short part of the L connects, should only be tiled up to 2 meters. That is also inside the shower. Because our tiles are 25 cm high and 2 meters looks nicer. A 10 cm strip above that, well, just looks strange..? So it would be about eight tiles high all around the bathroom. Except for the shower wall, but there the 10 cm border will be made with a wooden tile, like on the front walls in front of the sink and toilet, where it is the same. We are both <= 1.70 cm. My husband just said that in the new shower we would have a rain shower head, so it would splash less. But you still often use the hand shower to rinse off the soap, I guess. Otherwise, we have already thought about the joints and positions of the wall connection bends and fixtures. Regarding the overall tile height – well, I am for high, but higher than the door seems a bit strange to me..? Best regards

And what if you simply make the 10 cm with the wooden tile there as well? So that the entire shower is finished all around on top with the wooden tile?

Hello That just ruins my nice "concept". So everywhere else where the wooden tile is, there is a horizontal support surface as well. Sort of like if a 10 cm thick board were resting on the privacy wall and the washbasin brickwork. At the wall it would be different. So there I would almost prefer to have a row of full wall tiles placed on top... Oh damn, it all somehow has a catch. I'm not really happy with anything yet. What happens if you spray the un-tiled wall completely? It dries again, but does it leave stains...?

Maybe you could show a bathroom floor plan with the furniture drawn in and a brief explanation of where you planned the tiles. Maybe someone else has a good idea.

Is the wall already built up, or is everything still in the planning stage?
If necessary, raise the L-wall to 2.25. But be careful that the areas behind it still get enough light (if you raise it further).
Otherwise, I would place the 10 cm strip at the bottom so that the tiles are complete at the top (people pay less attention to the bottom).

At the moment, I only have a poor spatial idea of your bathroom. Maybe you can post a floor plan of the bathroom and mark the disputed part.

I don’t understand the problem now and I’m repeating myself: just do 9 rows of tiles in the shower. The wall has 2.10 m height, so it gets a small strip. A 10 cm strip goes on the wall itself and the rest of the room is also tiled with 9 rows. That will be less noticeable later than if you stay with 8 rows. By the way, in the past they also liked to use the 2.10 m height for a partition wall. The shelf on top serves for shampoo...

By the way, out of 10 cm height only about 6 remain because you have to smooth out the grout lines.

However, you could also make the wall higher, but then it’s no longer a shelf... about 15 cm of space also looks strange...
