Hello everyone,
thanks first of all for all the contributions.
So the idea was now from the tiler to have 8 tiles everywhere, about 2 m high, finishing the rest on the L-wall with the wood tile at the top.
With 9 tiles up the walls we would most likely be above the top edge of the door, I would find that ugly. (This is how it is here in the apartment, even if it’s only a little overhang, that just doesn’t work.)
We came up with that idea this morning and searched our current shower wall from all possible angles for splashes. They really only go up to 2 m, or there are very few there. However, the tiles here are also only about 2.06 m high, if it splashed above that, you don’t really see it at the moment. In this respect, we see the whole issue a bit more relaxed. One could also do a 10 cm strip made of the normal wall tile on the "normal" wall inside the shower, I thought. The room has to look nice from the middle of the room or when you lie in the tub – but this spot is only visible when using the shower, so whatever. Higher than the partition wall would rather be an optical problem.
