Is a roller shutter possible for a large lift/slide door?

Even "in case of doubt for the unfavorable perspective," I see more like two and a half to two and three quarters rather than four meters (?)

OK, try in order:

Not quite 15m, but already very long, yes. That’s why it would fit so nicely into the overall picture. It would look great from the side views.

And of course a live test would be conducted there. Although I would like to point out that it was less about the width of the door(s) and more about the feasible width of the roller shutters. Of course it makes sense to place the rails where the potential door also has its frame, but I was generally interested in that, also for example how it would be done with purely large glass surfaces, so if there were no frames or doors.

The mounted rails really don’t look great, but that’s exactly what I meant and wanted to see. Because then there is no reason for a generous window area if I possibly have to have a rail installed later because of the roller shutters. Then you can base the choice of window or door width directly on the feasible roller shutter.

Thank you very much!

Was it about the width or the rail?

He wanted to see the rail and I posted him a picture.

Where would it look great: drawn in 2D, drawn in 3D, or in real life?

Whoever thinks so (but in my opinion will be proven wrong by reality) can have the middle rail wrapped in the color of the window frames.

Of course, the rails are installed where there is already a post from the window. Or is your glass surface actually made from a single piece? We also have, for example, 6m, but divided into 2+2+2. It should still be affordable. The rails can be easily installed there. 3+3 would also be helpful.
