Yes, we use fresh water. The house is already finished. The outdoor facilities will start at the end of August. There will be a separate connection from the house to our outdoor storage, which is also where the pool technology is potentially to be installed.

If we could roughly manage with the above budget, that would of course be a positive side effect. With the iMat system plus additional drippers and the Hunter control, we are at €7,500 including installation and commissioning. I have no objection if I can put the other €5,000 into the pool.

I will look for your posts on irrigation. Could you perhaps quickly give a reference point for parts/planning tools?

Water scarcity is no longer a local problem.
Almost everywhere, even at a depth of 1.8 m, there is far too little water.

In the coming years, there will be measures to save water almost everywhere.

Water trees, shrubs, bushes as needed. You do not need an irrigation system for that. Wait until autumn to plant. Then they will go into the next summer strengthened and established.
Choose hardy plants that root deeply, tolerate drought, fit the location, and mulch properly (no, stones and bark mulch are not always right). After 2 years, watering is a minor issue.

Green lawn – take a look around your neighborhood – in our area you would be the only one and would have to endure many remarks.

And then you stand for hours with the hose on the lawn?
All our gardens are green because we have no water problems…

Water from the tap is the worst option. 1. Fresh water and 2. low pressure and flow rate.
Definitely have a larger (diameter) water meter installed. For the pool, you have to run a fresh water line outside anyway for refilling…
The Hunter controller is good.
I have also already written quite a bit here about pools ;)

Unfortunately, we hadn’t thought about it that early. The pool and irrigation thing came too late. But the pool builder was quite confident that we can tap off a cold water line from the utility room in the house and send it directly to the opposite outdoor storage. That was specifically about refilling with fresh water. But we can’t get a larger diameter anymore. I think it’s 4cm.

The water meter is the bottleneck. You can have a larger one installed by the supplier. For the pool, it is not that important but for irrigation.

Set up properly sized rain barrels. Cheap water and better for plants than tap water
