Gardena is less durable, more susceptible to wind, has no uniform irrigation, etc. At the beginning and end of the range, the precipitation is lower. Therefore, the sprinklers should always overlap. You can be satisfied with Gardena (at least temporarily), but there is a reason why there is professional equipment for this purpose. Compared to Gardena sprinklers, this equipment is not really more expensive. The pipe is needed anyway. Here, you don’t use the soft and overpriced one from Gardena but better and cheaper drinking water pipes...
The professional manufacturers have sprinklers with a range of 30 meters and more. But that doesn’t help if you want fine dosing. (Not to mention that very different flow rates are needed there.)
The rotators that uses are very water-saving. They have low precipitation and therefore soak the soil more slowly. As a result, less water is needed. Also, different radii and ranges can be combined without changing the precipitation amount per square meter. The pressure-regulating housings are a real relief. This way, you can lay the pipe without regard to pressure distribution and withdrawal points in the pipe.
Irrigation should be controlled (temperature, wind, sun, soil moisture, precipitation probability...). It should not be done blindly every third day.
Irrigation (drip, root, area irrigation...) must be adapted to the respective planting. Therefore, it makes sense to plan the irrigation well and solidly in a new installation. This way, you have peace of mind for years or decades. Whether you like or plan lawns, natural meadows, hedges, flower beds, trees does not initially indicate whether irrigation is sensible. Especially with new installations, water demand is higher at first. You have spent a lot of money and don’t want it to dry up. You can no longer irrigate sufficiently by hand. An irrigation system is also convenient. After two weeks of dryness, even a natural meadow no longer looks good.
We will create different areas in the garden. Not just lawn. The mix is what counts here too.
