Which battery-powered lawn mower should I buy for approximately 700m² of lawn area?

About the cordless mower. Professional devices are good and expensive. Home user devices from Bosch or Makita are affordable, but too narrow and have too little capacity for 700 sqm. Seriously, that's a petrol area. Good in my opinion is the Alko mulch mower, decent Briggs and Stratton engine, wheel drive, 45 cm cutting width, no catcher bag, solid housing. Around 400,- Karsten

The robos are also battery-powered.

Principle: Continuous round trip, constant recharging at the station. The lawn is continuously cut by the top mm, clippings remain on the ground.

Works perfectly. Predestined for large areas.

Yes, I agree. We also have a lot of lawn and it mows wonderfully. Never having to worry about it again and drinking something cold instead of sweating heavily at 30 degrees

First of all, thank you very much for your active participation! Honestly, for me the cordless mower is primarily not about the environment, I just find the petrol ones (too) loud... I'm currently leaning towards the Rotak 430 Li, which comes with 2 batteries and is, according to Bosch, suitable for 600 m². If that means I have to change the battery while mowing, I think that's no problem. After all, I also have to refuel petrol mowers sometimes! I think the garden is too tricky for a ride-on mower, and I've also considered mower robots, possibly something to acquire in the future. The professional version is too extreme for me, almost 50 kg and >1100€ and that without battery or charger... :O

Since you already mentioned the model that I also have myself: The mulching insert is trash! It only works to a limited extent and constantly clogs. Therefore, either collect or "mulch" without the insert, that works too.

The problem with mulching is that you have to do it regularly. With 700 sqm of area... well... that would be too much for me. I have about 250 sqm to mow and spend about 45 minutes with the 43 cm petrol mower including the drive. With pre-cutting, tidying away children’s toys, etc. The area is tricky because of the trampoline, sandbox, swing.... If my petrol mower ever breaks down, a robot mower is just what I want... For 700 sqm, either two small robots (Workx, Gardena or Flymo from the UK = Gardena but cheaper) and divide the areas. Or one large one, and then you're certainly looking at Husqvarna and the other specialist retail brands (not DIY stores). Also, the planning for such a large property should be examined in detail. Boundaries / sufficient lawn mowing edges, slopes.... At a rural furniture store near us, there is a Husqvarna robot on an estimated 1000 sqm plot. The lawn looks great. Apart from cutting the grass, the lawn certainly gets no other care. Why don’t you go to a Husqvarna dealer and get advice there with a building plan of your own and/or photos. Usually, the authorized Husqvarna dealers also carry lawn mower brands like Honda / Siga /....
