The hand must be skilled, otherwise you get patchy grass =) I would get a spreader (from Gardena or similar) for 30 euros, with which you can both set the dosage well and do a clean job... You can then also use the spreader later for fertilizing the lawn (although I always only use natural fertilizer from Neudorff, for example) or for spreading grit in winter, etc... A garden roller wouldn't be bad either, mine cost 45 euros online... But you can probably also rent one somewhere

I myself borrowed a lawn seeder from a garden landscaper, which was of course absolutely brilliant *g*

Hello,

I didn’t have the English lawn in mind when I answered; I really like life on the lawn. However, there are plants I don’t want in the lawn because I can’t control them if I don’t catch them in the early stage, and I rarely have the time for that. That is also the reason why the old lawn has to go; unfortunately, it’s not even good enough for a meadow ... regardless of what my neighbors think about it

I did it by hand; but you need a consistent rhythm, otherwise it won’t work. The Gardena ® spreader can help and doesn’t cost a fortune.

Rhenish greetings

In our village, there is a fruit and gardening club that has all the equipment and rents it out for a small fee. Besides, the people usually know their stuff very well and can help you with tips and expertise. Maybe there is a similar point of contact in your area?!

Instead of the waltz, you can also strap some boards to your feet and walk across the floor back and forth.

A neighbor did that. However, their lawn is only about 30 sqm.
