Investment as equity capital, how much should be kept as reserves?

no.. but the Dacia doesn't massage me and also doesn't comfortably go through the highway curve at >200. And the little finger on the steering wheel is enough. And I probably also can't have a conversation in the Dacia at 200 There are still a few differences. The Miele washing machine certainly has advantages.. for example, I really appreciate how unbelievably quietly the device washes.

But that's all off-topic now Basically, I see it the same way.. whoever has no money for everyday little things (no matter if the builder has the 250k budget and the washing machine for 300 or the builder with the 800k budget and the washing machine for 1000 EUR) should NOT build a house. It also doesn't matter whether the Dacia has to go to the workshop for 300 EUR or the big Benz for 1500 EUR. Usually, you drive the car you can and want to afford.

Regards, Steffen

Exactly, that's often where the difference becomes apparent. You can't hear the Miele refrigerator or the dishwasher at all in the living area, for example, even with an open kitchen.

You can definitely hear the Miele dishwasher... at least ours. In terms of pure dB values, Siemens was actually better.... Well. There are studies that say that in the long run you are better off with higher-priced investments – even the often dismissed argument about electricity consumption is not entirely unfounded. We have been very consistent in focusing on energy-saving appliances and now have costs of €32 for household electricity per month.

But back to the topic: it seems that the amount of savings needed is individual... however, €5,000 to €10,000 is definitely advisable and takes worry away.

Of course, not all devices from one manufacturer are equally loud or quiet. But our kitchen studio paid special attention to this because we have everything completely open.
The dB values alone do not always tell the whole story, some frequencies are simply more disturbing than others, so for example a level of 33 dB can be more annoying than one of 36.
For example, I have often already opened the dishwasher during the wash cycle because I hadn't heard it while the TV was on or when a car just passed by...

We see all of this quite relaxed. If right after completion there's nothing left at first, then things will look better again a few months later.

At the moment we also have about €10,000 set aside, but after completion we still need a new car – it could be that this initially brings us down to zero. For a possible defect, however, you wouldn’t need anything set aside.

But we are also in the fortunate situation that in an absolute emergency the family would be able to help.

how did we actually get from savings buffer to washing machines and car recommendations? ^^ Dacia already makes pretty good washing machines you can hardly hear them at all and you have to exchange them after 5 years
