We choose a finished room height of 2.70 m. This should be especially advantageous in larger rooms such as the living and dining area. In show homes, we have also seen lower ceilings, which we did not like. Doors will be white, possibly with a stainless steel line. We do not want any additional wood since the stairs are made of wood and the floor tiles have a wood look or laminate on the upper floor.
2.40 m I also find very low, but the ceiling will really hit you hard, sorry. Then I would definitely forgo the wooden doors, if not already the wooden ceiling.
Just a question. In our existing building, the doors have dimensions of 192.5 cm in height. That was probably common in the 80s. Today, all the doors are 198.5 cm. Does anyone know a company (online) where you can still get doors with a height of 192.5 cm? I haven’t found anything.
These will be special dimensions with all the providers - although almost none of them actually offer such a dimension. For example, check at deinetuer. Extra charge for special dimensions is 40€.
However, I would take the trouble to enlarge the door opening. The door height was already a special dimension in the 80s, as it was no longer standard back then. I myself have several apartments from the 60s to the 80s, all of which have 2m doors.
