In my opinion, the biggest problem is that the access must be closed during construction.

Am I not allowed to place my retaining wall directly against the neighbors'?

I need a clean solution, preferably without changing the existing situation and without giving up too much of our property :D

I think we all first need more clarity before measures and constructions can be discussed. In general, I am not in favor of imagining L-blocks as a miracle weapon. Beyond a certain level of complexity, physics also needs to be reflected in the design of the solution. A poorly constructed steep wall, which "falls like a tree" thanks to martial reinforcement (but unfortunately is not more stable!), is of no use to anyone. By the way, I consider such blocks that also have their base on the wrong side even less than overestimated L-blocks. That’s nonsense – is a cousin of @goalkeepers’ favorite neighbor involved here somewhere?

The SM in the south has already given way before your construction workers. Imagine how problematic underpinning will be then? The SW needs to be completely redone with the new height. With cost-sharing from the neighbors. Have your geologist / structural engineer assess that. They will also provide a foundation recommendation. Remote diagnoses are not productive here. To avoid the dilemma, I had suggested raising the house and stabilizing the SM with a preceding embankment. I am still waiting for an exact inventory. There should be plans of the existing SMs.

It is what it is.

There are no plans of the existing retaining walls.

I was just at the construction site and wanted to take current pictures.

However, the property is full of the construction company's vehicles and a container; I simply could not take comprehensive pictures.

I will make up for it on Saturday or Sunday, when no one is working.

Presumably, the civil engineers find the load case example sketches in the DIN sufficient, and they consider more detailed plans women’s stuff ;-)
