I simply didn’t want to impose a “final” (from our point of view, before going to the architect) floor plan on the community here yet. That’s why I wanted, among other things, to “feel my way” through the thread here. But since we’re at it, here is the ground floor:

It’s a corner plot with an existing pool. We will definitely build with a basement. Therefore (no idea if that’s possible) the garage could also be connected tightly to the house and the guest room window raised (since the house is higher than the garage because of the basement).

The whole thing is oriented north. A closed, large kitchen is important, just like a reasonable distance to the TV wall. Maybe you can at least tell me if this is heading in the right direction, or if it’s all for the trash bin. We will then continue to think about it and also open a thread in the floor plan section.

: May I ask where your experience comes from?

Thank you very much for your answer and the plan. The pitched roof is an option we are aiming for.. Maybe we will still want to convert the roof. Therefore, a pitched roof is more likely anyway. Regarding the bathrooms upstairs: yes, here you confirm our inner doubts as well. I took your suggestion into account and made the children's rooms smaller. So the solution would be:

Windows etc. are not arranged, just like the furniture. I just want to get initial feedback on whether this is nonsense as well.. What do you think?

Let's put it this way, you can tell from both levels that they come from a pen that hasn't done this very often.

Connect the garage with the house. What is the approximately 80cm light distance good for?

Why a closed kitchen? Nobody does that anymore.
Basement next to existing pool: how do you support the pool? Workspace for the basement wall?
Who is making the working plans?
I would basically have both levels revised (done).

Straight staircase seems very short to me. At first glance, model chicken ladder.

What else besides the one car is supposed to fit in the garage? Definitely no second car at the current size. What is the narrow path between the house and the garage supposed to be good for?

The narrow path will either be removed or widened so that you don’t have to go through the garage to get to the back part of the garden or to walk completely around the house on the left. The plot measured 30 meters by 30 meters. However, it comes down to the path being removed if a window can still be placed in the guest room. Whether the new basement can be placed next to the pool is the question. The pool exists and we would prefer not to demolish it. If it can’t be helped, of course it must be removed or filled in, which would hurt us. Because once it’s gone, I don’t believe we will build a new pool elsewhere. Any other criticism? The floor plan or the arrangement of the rooms is strongly oriented toward "plain vanilla" floor plans that you find on the internet with approximate external dimensions and a straight staircase.

The length of the staircase is 3.60 meters, with 15 steps. Too short? This measurement is taken from the forum here:

The garage is not designed for a second car to go in. More for garden tools, tires, etc. There are plenty of things to fill it with.
