What’s wrong with the tone? - that’s experienced advice, nothing more. I can tell very quickly from a floor plan if it’s a dead horse. Only a cynic would have encouraged you at this point to "refine" this plan. A trash can is a friend and a comforter when a plan is a dead end, and crumpling this plan frees a path. No one here counts how OFTEN you roll the dice - but we rejoice with everyone who then rolls three sixes. The shaft itself is already wasted palliative care. You still thwart your chance for a push in the right direction by reporting the ground floor only partially and verbally. We probably would have long ago found where YOU would solve the knot there. Because on the OTHER floor a wrong turn cannot be healed. If you’d rather whine, that’s not MY fault.
I simply didn’t want to impose a “final” (from our point of view, before going to the architect) floor plan on the community here yet. That’s why I wanted, among other things, to “feel my way” through the thread here. But since we’re at it, here is the ground floor:
It’s a corner plot with an existing pool. We will definitely build with a basement. Therefore (no idea if that’s possible) the garage could also be connected tightly to the house and the guest room window raised (since the house is higher than the garage because of the basement).
The whole thing is oriented north. A closed, large kitchen is important, just like a reasonable distance to the TV wall. Maybe you can at least tell me if this is heading in the right direction, or if it’s all for the trash bin. We will then continue to think about it and also open a thread in the floor plan section.
: May I ask where your experience comes from?
