I would probably build the same little house again. I would have just treated myself to a basement and a carport.

Whether being rich is really desirable, I don't even know. At the moment, the monthly loan burden doesn't even bother me, it's hardly higher than our last rent...
200,000€ (house loan) would make me very happy. I think you can only appreciate things if you have worked for them.

If I were rich ... *sigh*

No, I probably wouldn't do much differently than I do now. Except build immediately with a basement and double garage. With a basement, we wouldn't need a utility room on the ground floor and would thus have almost 13 sqm more available. The room would be perfect for the third child's bedroom, which is currently in our upstairs. This would make all the rooms upstairs bigger (I would find children's bedrooms of about 16 - 19 sqm quite nice - currently they're just under 13 sqm).

I can't imagine being so rich that I would want the house completely differently.

Then I would rather find a nice job in the morning to have the whole afternoon for my son. :p Also, my husband wouldn't need to work so much anymore and we would have lots of time for ourselves.
Ah, that would be nice, yes *nods vigorously*

So,
if I win a million in the lottery on Saturday, I'll build a bungalow for my parents-in-law.

Requirements are
- with a basement
- kitchen with a view of the street
- small dining area in the kitchen
- pantry would be nice
- covered terrace

north should be at the bottom.

I remodeled this from a prefabricated house just for fun.
Isn't it nice?
