Good morning everyone,

wow, something did happen here over the evening after all :) Many thanks to you all :)

So, we are 2 adults and I find the double sinks a tough decision. On one hand, I think these double washbasins are super expensive and I somehow don't feel like cleaning 2, on the other hand I like having my own faucet, often the toothpaste burns in my mouth while waiting for the other one to be free  Maybe we'll take a long basin with 2 faucets or something, we'll see

Regarding the shower, I completely forgot that we just want a walk-in shower with a glass wall, our current one is 90 (or 100) by 140 which is absolutely spacious. We were thinking of a shower drain on the narrow side and fittings on the long side but right in the corner area. That way not so much splashes head towards the shower entrance.

But the half-height wall with the rest glass I also discovered here recently, only that the shelf was then outside the shower, I thought that might not work with a shelf in the shower because water would always stay on it or some such ^^ But if that’s no problem, you save the niche in the wall and some plastering

And in terms of the layout, is this already the optimum?

Many greetings

I think the layout is good. Is that a window on the short side in the shower? That would seem strange to me, to shower in front of the window. :p

Depending on how the floor is planned otherwise, you could have the door open outwards. Then you have more space inside. I did that too and it was a good idea. But of course that depends on the rest around it.

The shower fitting near the corner would then have to be at least 40 cm out from the corner so that you can still move properly.

I think the layout is good as it is. There is enough space for two people to move around comfortably in the bathroom and everything is reachable. What more could you want?

I myself would extend the shower to 180 cm, especially if the fitting is on the side wall, and put up a half-height privacy screen between the shower and the toilet.

nah, that just looks strange, it’s the toilet bowl from the adjacent WC, but yes, I would also find that very strange although surely there are people who might like that So I just measured the rental shower again, 97x140cm and the fixture is, as said, on the long wall, but as you pointed out it is also 50cm away from the corner. I think 180cm length will be difficult because it then gets very tight near the toilet and the tub, but I really can hardly judge that On the topic of “what more do you want,” currently we have no storage space in the bathroom, which means everything is stuffed into the 60cm mirror cabinet and I have such a tiny shelf on the bathtub where I roll all our towels to a size of 10x10x25cm so they fit in there o_O But I think a vanity cabinet would help a lot and otherwise maybe it’s an idea to move the towel storage into a wardrobe But nice that you already find it good as it is, because we noticed that the architect did a good job there. For other rooms we tried different things and in the end still ended up with his design

I can only say that I know a bathroom that is equipped and arranged like yours, and it really works well. When everything is finished, show us your bathroom. :)
