Hey,

Here is a rough estimate:

see

This only included sewage and rainwater pipes, soakaway shaft, and about 2-3 days of excavator work without new soil or disposal of soil.

Please inform yourself about the 'first come, first served' principle. I just advise not to definitely count on the building child allowance. If it works out, great, but I definitely see the likelihood that it won't work out here.

You are of course absolutely right, it may have come across wrong in my post. It would of course help, but it is not necessary to manage the financing.

Congratulations on the property.

As long as your wife works full-time!

As long as your wife works full-time!

But you have to build reserves to possibly replace them when they no longer run?!

No. Some errors could already be avoided for you if you visit the construction cost forum.
And don’t say: that can’t happen to us!

The advertised catalog price or commitment from the general contractor can still change upon a detailed breakdown. You can easily add €10,000 now.
Then you will hardly get floors and painting in EL for €6,000, unless you buy very, very cheap flooring. ALWAYS calculate AT LEAST 1/3 extra per square meter price for incidental costs (insulation, baseboards, etc.).
Incidental construction costs: missing are the additional earthworks. 30 cm is not sufficient in 90% of cases. Even a flat plot can have a non-load-bearing subsoil. Certainty (and warranty towards the company) gives a geotechnical report. Accordingly, the statics and the foundation could still cost a lot extra.
Rainwater infiltration and connections of downpipes, drainage, entrance staging... all this comes on top and in addition. Who drives away the soil? Ok, with 2000 sqm you can make a mound, that would be a stroke of luck. Nevertheless: a large plot can also cause large costs, e.g. for a fence or other enclosure.
Garden design: splash protection around the house should definitely be done immediately, otherwise there will be brown edges.

See above

Even the Saxons have nothing to give away.

Definitely take buffers:
for the house €10,000
for incidental construction costs €10,000
for EL (floor coverings) €10,000
for the garden €10,000

I'm already at €50,000... and if there are still a few thousand left, then you can put them into repayment.

With your salaries, you will never be able to save a few thousand so easily again. And I already mentioned the cars.

Thanks for your contribution!

Of course, my statements regarding the salaries refer to a 40-hour week, I have not claimed otherwise. We are also aware of the car situation; my point was just to disclose that there are no consumer loans.

I gladly accept the information about the buffer! That’s why I’m asking here. An additional 10,000 for flooring seems a bit much to me, but I’m happy to inform myself about it again. For the garden, we are fortunate to only need privacy screening/fencing on one side. Behind the house is farmland, and a neighbor already has a privacy screen that we practically "share."

Would say, it will be tight but can work, as long as you don't have a 2nd child. Hihi - funny, that's how the construction boom helps to curb overpopulation.
