I will write from my own experience what has been added to the house now (although budgeted):
-Electricity €13k (sockets, CAT7, TV, etc.) - you definitely need to plan something here because the standard is always a joke.
-Lighting (inside and outside): approx. €5k
-Sanitary €10k (for example, the shower enclosure was not included in the house price for us)
-Inspection shafts €3k
-Kitchen €17k
-Outdoor facilities (only driveway, terrace, lawn, and hedge) €25k for a 600sqm plot

Regarding cars, we set aside the depreciation of the car (approx. €500 for 2 cars) every month into a separate account.

Cat7 in all living rooms would already be included in the standard for us, for example.

I also find reserving money for the car sensible, then the money is definitely planned.

As a counterexample, here are the costs of our renovation (everything NEW!). But I'm not talking about the additional costs now, but the total costs!

Electrical: 5k€ (with a lot of own work)
Lighting total <1k€
Sanitary: 5k€ per bathroom including tiles
Kitchen: 2.8k€, self-installed

I know, this should not necessarily be taken as a benchmark for the average home builder.
But you also don't have to take the totally exaggerated prices of Wugler1987 as a benchmark, so I just wanted to show a counterpoint. The truth lies somewhere in the middle, depending on your requirements.

that somehow seems calming... that's how I see it too, the truth lies in the middle. Everyone just has different demands.

Used (3 years old) including all appliances and new countertop. (The original price was 8,000 back then, we have the receipt)
Personally, I would never buy a kitchen new, unless it was really really cheap. But I know most people here see it differently.

However, friends have just bought a nice new kitchen for 4,300,-
I know the price I mentioned is very cheap, but I also said it is not a benchmark for the average. But 17,000€ for a kitchen isn’t that either
