Yes, for 13k you normally get the entire electrics. With you, there were just some cost drivers involved and the electrician probably realized that there was something to be gained.

Why do you portray it as if the fellow forum member was ripped off? 13k for the KNX stuff seems quite reasonable to me (even though I don't know the exact scope).

Hmm, how do you come to that conclusion? You get KNX, automatic blinds with wind sensors, intercom systems, recessed spotlights, network cabling in every room, etc. for 13k€ in a single-family house with a basement. Respect, then I must have done quite a few things wrong.

That’s not how it was meant, and in my opinion, it shouldn’t be understood that way either. Hence the second sentence, that he just has expensive extras included. I meant you can already get a standard electrical installation with TV and network for 13k. How sensible it is now to have KNX only for controlling the blinds is up to everyone to decide. FOR ME, the technology in the private sector is an overpriced gimmick, others here see it quite differently. Would I spend the same amount again for that? No. I paid 10k for a normal installation with an intercom system, recessed spotlights, and network. Including the basement. Although the spotlights are in a suspended ceiling, and only the wiring, frames, and bulbs I installed myself.

10% security seems too optimistic to me. All friends and acquaintances expected > 15
