I’ll just write whatever comes to mind. Left-handed kitchen. Faucet in front of the window is impractical. Or does it open outward? Different patterns on the work surface do nothing but create unrest. Is there already a purpose planned for the Perfekt end shelf? Otherwise, it easily becomes a place to put all sorts of things or just a dust collector. How about doing without the Perfekt shelf and instead putting an 80 cm cabinet in the corner that can be (partially) used like the one on the left, then moving the domsjö monstrosity a bit further to the side and finishing with a 60 cm cabinet whose door opens forward. The door could be a different color. The problem could be the window. Is it double-leaf? Then can the right side be pulled a few centimeters into the room so that the faucet is centered between the window panes?

Ikea expert, thank you very much for the tips!!!
The window should not be a problem at all, it is double-leafed and the lower part is a fixed glass element, so the window sashes sit higher and should open about 5cm above the faucet.
The Perfect shelf was actually intended as a storage for all kinds of things, but I will enter your suggestions into the online planner and then take a look. However, I don’t see a kitchen with a two-tone front in your link, is the link correct?

What can I do about the different patterning of the countertop?
We definitely want a solid oak wood countertop (Akerby, though only partly solid).
I could make the rear countertop parts in the corners with a Personlig instead of a normal countertop and then keep the same patterning, but that costs just as much more.
However, the rear corners will probably be covered with things (toaster, coffee machine, etc.) in practice anyway, so the different patterning might not be as noticeable.
Best regards

The link is correct. The front is monochromatic, but the decorative strips and side panels are in a different color. If the door opened towards the dining table (perhaps everything needed to set the table could be stored there), then it could have the decor matching the differently colored side panels. It's really a matter of taste what one likes. The countertop at the front across does not look like the Akerby at the back. Or is that a rendering error by the planner? I don't find it bad that the direction of the texture changes at the back.

Yes, that must be a display error, because I have only specified the Akerby countertop everywhere in the planner. How is it actually with the extension table, I can't use Akerby there at all because it is only semi-solid and I would need an edge band on the entire long side. Additionally, the front corners are supposed to be slightly rounded. Do I have to use solid oak personlig for the table then? Or is it possible with Akerby after all? And as far as I know, Akerby is not available in personlig, right? If it only works with solid oak personlig, can I use this only for the table and mix the rest of the kitchen with Akerby? I mean, do they look somewhat similar? Best regards Section Chief

Hello
I have now entered the proposed changes into the planner.
What bothers me a bit is that the left side is no longer symmetrical to the right side, meaning the 1st tall cabinet on the left is no longer at the same height as the prep table.
I have left the 80 cm base cabinet in the right corner protruding by 30 cm and would install a 30 cm door there. Unfortunately, there are no 20 cm doors, which would have solved the problem with the asymmetry. I also can’t just cut a 30 cm door down to 20 cm.
Unfortunately, I also can’t move further forward on the left side because there is a door immediately after the 1st tall cabinet.
Of course, we don’t want to do without the large sink and the dishwasher next to it, so what should we do???

best regards

I personally don't find it bad at all if both sides are not the same length. Whether that really bothers you is something you have to decide.
Another option would be to put a 35 cm deep cabinet in front and make the extension table correspondingly narrow.
Otherwise, just the purely dead corner after all.

Unfortunately, no one is contributing any further ideas here.
