Attached is the floor plan of the ground floor, but the site concerns me more. What is this supposed to be good for?

The kitchen and utility room are to be on the north side towards the street.

We do not yet know exactly how the terrace will be, but definitely on the south side, probably not extending the entire width of the house.

I'll give you a tip. You're right, you didn't want to discuss floor plans or basements here, but landscape design. So, we didn't do it alone either, but clarified it on-site with our BU and the landscape gardener; the landscape gardener then made a PDF with measurements and visualization, we approved it, forwarded it to the BU, who roughly did everything as it should be when working on the foundation, later our landscape gardener did the finishing touches. We're laypeople, that's why there are companies who have learned that. K.

A floor plan is useful here so that we can imagine how the entrance side and the terrace side integrate into the terrain profile and, if you don't yet know where the terrace should go, can also make suggestions.

: here I see the problem as more complex than with you: cross and longitudinal slopes, plus the slight basin shape from the street, I don’t see the thing buried a bit in one corner and perfectly level in the middle.

Here in the Pellenz we don’t really do dikes either (nor mounds, actually, but that seems to be some silly nationwide trend currently that we don’t use here).

How much do you need to fill in the terrace area of the living room?
Would put the kitchen on the terrace.

Give some thought to how the outdoor area will be. You also have to catch and fill there.

Talk to construction companies and garden landscapers. Gather information and have them give estimates.

If the basement (UG) as living space is really not an option, I would try to mediate. My Nordlys did it that way.
Do not fill the house to the height of the garage, the kitchen side slightly into the ground, which is not so easy with timber frame.

ant, I know well that it is steeper there than here. Only, you also know that sometimes a person gets so lost and cannot see the forest for the trees and standing in front of their land can only imagine this one solution, and then such a professional sometimes works wonders, because he opens your eyes, and suddenly you discover, yes, it can be done that way too, and that is not achievable through forums, but best of all during an on-site appointment.

everything is ok, I learned about the burying part through your posts.

the notification sounds good and I would also favor it that way, the only question is whether it is allowed and what the cost will be. due to the current order situation, you hardly hear anything from companies anymore unless you immediately hand over some cash.

we are torn back and forth about whether to build there now or not. originally, 20K was budgeted for groundworks, including terrace, garage foundation, drainage, and trench for house connections.

if it is much more expensive, we have to drop it, as mentioned 50K extra for the basement is too much
