And our expectations are not huge now either... I just grew up differently and see priorities elsewhere.
We searched for a caravan last year. I wanted a simple and cheap one because my expectations were not that high. I grew up in a very small one with an awning (though that was 50 years ago). That was a very nice, simple time. I even wanted to pimp it myself, paint the wood, reupholster the cushions, etc. Pinterest and YT, here we come ;) We looked at those between 5-10000 because the ones under 5 looked awful from the outside. As soon as we opened the door, about 80% of all the caravans hit us with either a rotten, damp, or moldy smell. Sometimes it was cold smoke (smoker vehicle). The other 20% were cheap versions or really very, very old.
In the end, we had to bow to reason and invested all our money (not just a part) into a well-maintained and not so old vehicle, more of the conservative kind.
What I want to say, and I repeat myself: don’t get stuck in the cheap sector bargain house à la RTL2, and anyone who follows house viewings twice a month and registers with realtors is surely looking as well. You’re not new to the forum… This can very quickly become a never-ending story if you do it the wrong way.
... The house in Jübek really seems to be a real peach..... There must be a catch.
In my eyes, that is the best example: you mention and say you wouldn’t even have looked at the exposé, right?… but only the rented 119,000 € house… and if you’re pointed out to it, it has a catch for you.
I would be happy if there are no catches for you, but the right thing :)
By the way, there are catches that are gladly sought out ;)
