Just make them flush with the house.

Something doesn’t add up!

If it’s about one tenth, i.e., 10 cm, then you can speak of "only" – one meter that makes a room upstairs unusable can ruin the entire floor plan!

What would you like to give up on? The shower or the toilet?

As already said: constructive criticism lacks measurements!!!
Based on fictional furniture drawings, you cannot tell whether the space between the TV and sofa is sufficient or not.
And on the upper floor, it does make a difference whether a room is 4 meters or 5 meters deep, but conversely a possible bathroom in the north hardly offers any space to move.

I would push them further back so that the living area gets a window there. Then I would consider whether one might want to look from the living room sofa into the garden... so I would question the windows and furniture arrangement in the living room.

What exactly do you mean by pushing it "further back"? So garage south of the house and then towards the west?

So my parents have a bathroom that is 3.6x2.5m. It’s not big, but it still works well. By that I just meant that there is definitely some room upstairs if you move the stairs down by 1m.
