Then it’s best to put your bedroom in the basement, because otherwise you’d have to forbid the children from playing in their rooms during the holidays until dad is up. I have three children and to be honest, I’m glad when they decide to play in their rooms and I can relax in the living room or quietly tidy up the kitchen without toys or kids jumping in front of my feet. And I also know how annoying it is to constantly hold the kids back when dad has worked the night shift...
Honestly, if your husband needs to sleep until noon, I would really aim for a situation adapted to that regarding sleeping, living, and play areas in a house of this price range.

If the community cooperates, in my opinion that is an option.

I have shifted that a bit further east but only the basement.

I would place the garage on the lower side of the plot by the street as suggested by .

But that means the house has to be pushed quite a bit further back and you lose garden space, right? So I don't quite see the advantage of that.

I have quickly created a new floor plan here (so please don’t look too closely at the windows and such. I also guessed the staircase dimensions (probably a bit too large?)). I have now omitted the granny flat, which makes the basement much less convoluted. Overall, I find it more coherent. What do you think? The only thing I’m still unsure about is how to sensibly design the bathroom and utility room on the upper floor. Feel free to make suggestions here.
