Designing a steep driveway has to be planned with great care so that it can be driven comfortably to some extent. We had a landscape gardener mark out the heights on the construction site and that works quite well for us (and our property is probably a bit steeper and we have over 10m difference in height from the street below to the carport above). With your driveway it is especially important that you don’t slide directly onto the street when it’s slippery. We simply leave a car parked at the bottom of the driveway for a few days a year to avoid sliding. Of course, a heating system in the driveway would also be possible, but I don’t consider that ecologically appropriate for myself.
