I believe that is something only you can decide yourselves; no outsider can help you with that.
Personally, it wouldn’t affect me. A suicide, especially of a person I didn’t know. In most cases, that is someone who died from the disease "depression" in its final stage. I see no big difference compared to a death from another illness or natural aging. It’s a house. People live, are born, and die in houses. For me, that has nothing to do with the substance of the property. I wouldn’t worry about the external perception / the "talk in the village." That is quickly forgotten; you certainly won’t be remembered as "the family from the suicide house" in people’s minds. Much more likely as "the ones who didn’t mow the lawn again" or "did you see how they dress" or "impossible, there was still light on at 1 AM, tsk tsk." Or maybe you just have normal neighbors. ;)
