Let's put it this way. The police come by in many cases of death, depending on where the doctor ticks the box on his certificate. In the case of suicide, they definitely come, the public prosecutor certainly not, they know less about it anyway. That's probably where what you call "topic number 1" begins, it is often dramatized and with every telling it gets bigger or more dramatic.....finally something happening in the boring street.... The more you focus on it, the bigger the issue becomes. Which shadow P? The next scandal will soon be driven through the village, this topic will soon fade away. Maybe you could also change something in "this room" so that it goes out of your head. That is the real issue, your head. The rest around it is just temporary drama. But I can also understand if someone says that they don't want that and then just build it themselves. You don't have to be able to explain or understand that, but then you should be able to let it go and not mourn this house, especially since it is not a bargain.

In our neighboring town, two years ago a businessman first shot his wife in the kitchen and then himself. A few months later, a newly appointed chief physician at the district hospital bought this house with knowledge of the background and has since lived happily there with his family without major renovations. Another example: My friend’s daughter-in-law bought a rundown small house where the previous owner hanged himself in the basement garage. She is currently turning this little house into a jewel box. As already mentioned above, the whole thing takes place in the mind and you must first clarify that (head cinema) with your family before making a decision.

but the public prosecutor is at least always on board. They have to release the body. I would not buy the house, I would not get the thought out of my head.

In the carport of my first house, the previous owner hanged himself. I then bought it from the state of Lower Saxony because there were no heirs. I completely cleared out and renovated the house after it had been vacant for 2 years. The mark from the rope was still visible on the beam of the carport. Both my wife, child, and I lived very well there. I only sold it to move into a bigger place because of the family.

Conclusion: You have to know for yourself whether you can handle it.

Yes, but as I said, not on site. This tends to be dramatized among neighbors.
To buy or not........ remains a matter of personal mindset and one should be honest with oneself. Apparently, there is no objective yes/no, as one can read.
