It is oriented to the north.

Basically a good idea, but I thought about roofing the front door starting from the garage to protect it a bit from the weather, and besides, that would give me even more parking space in front of the house.

...for what? How much do you need? You can still place the garage next to the house just shifted to the northwest. You have the parking space right next to it. Or you can extend a canopy from the garage to an entrance on the west side but far towards the top of the plan there. No idea if that makes sense from a planning perspective with the floor plan later but you would have saved some of the long driveway. That costs money too.

You have distance to the next building in the north, at least the building envelope of the plots above suggests that.

I will definitely consider that during the floor plan design, thanks

Oh, I see. I didn’t take that seriously. Then that fits quite well.

What is the purpose of the second gray box on the west side of the house? A second terrace? In that case, I would prefer to place it around the corner in the southwest. Judging by the shape, I would guess it is supposed to be a double garage. That means you can probably still park more than enough in front of it. Long driveways are just too much paved area, on the other hand, with this layout (entrance in the north, terrace in the south) you will find significantly more (standard) floor plans than with an entrance in the west. And the west side is also a nice location for a room or kitchen.

the 2nd grey box is also front yard, driveway.

the thing with the standard floor plans is true. but I also have to personally say that I don’t like an entrance door on the gable side, but I’m not very set on that yet and I’m totally guided by my wife's wishes
