Hello everyone,
we are currently thinking about how we want/could design the exterior appearance of our house. It starts with a new coat of paint and minor repairs to the facade and gutter. Then we considered whether we want to completely remove the rough plaster and give the house a rather smooth (more modern) plaster. Of course, the price is quite different then. The wood of the entrance area and the roof overhang also needs a coat of paint. The question here is whether the wood tone should remain or if we should rather go with white. Of course, this is all a matter of taste ...
The appearance of our terrace railing is also a matter of taste, which we would have chosen in a somewhat more discreet form if we had bought it ... . It is an aluminum substructure that is basically probably indestructible. Whether we will ever replace the railing is something we are still considering. That is why everything should be more "coherent" in the end, if you know what I mean :)
When someone from the painting company came by for an inspection, the first words were definitely to leave the plaster as it is, because you probably won’t find anything more low-maintenance and you can also do a lot with paint.

Here still with the old wooden windows:

The front door will be replaced in a few weeks. The new door is white and has three square glass elements:

Ideas ... suggestions ... opinions ... are welcome :D

Mh a colleague painted everything that is wood (window frames, balcony, roof overhang, door) in a light gray and simply freshly painted the plaster in white. It looks modern without forcibly retouching the 80s/90s elements.

The gray is more stone gray RAL 7030 and not a dark anthracite.

Is it also a rough plaster? We also have gray in our considerations. So far, however, only outside with the patio furniture and the flower pots implemented. Inside, gray dominates the floors.

We are not sure if the roughcast permanently matches the windows. It looked more appropriate with the previous wooden windows.

When do you notice which plaster is on it? The tiles on the base would bother me more
