Of course, just like in an apartment building, you can share the basement with access through the stairwell…

but honestly, among other reasons, that’s exactly why I don’t want to live in apartments permanently as I do now…

I want to be able to get to my basement directly through my apartment… especially since I don’t want to use it just as a junk room! Office, laundry room, hobby room, etc… I want to be able to shuffle downstairs in boxer shorts in the morning undisturbed without having to “worry” that my neighbors might just be having guests :D

That’s obviously clear! I’m more looking for a rough estimate here…
Are my price expectations completely unrealistic? Will it work out well?
Should I budget more than 40-50k for the basement?
What about possible savings from building together? Are there any at all? I read that for bigger houses the price per m² gets cheaper compared to smaller ones.
What do I “save” in investment costs if I don’t need a heating system?

I don’t expect someone to send me an exact cost breakdown… more like a hint if it’s “feasible” or “add another 50k.”

:p

The first post states that the entire area is connected to district heating. There is also an OBLIGATION to connect to it...

So if I understand correctly, this saves me the initial investment costs for a heat pump/gas boiler etc...
I am only talking about investment costs here! That district heating is of course not free is clear to me! ;)

Well, hopefully it will be possible to classify that correctly ;)

?

what do you mean?

did I misunderstand something?
District heating = hot water for heating is delivered directly through a pipe into the house -> no additional heating by gas burner/heat pump etc. necessary... right?

whether an efficient heat pump would be cheaper over 20 years I can't assess and it would also be pointless since you have to take district heating..
I don't know the current district heating rates either.. but the fact is that with a "turnkey" house I would be about ~10k+ cheaper.. right? of course I then pay more monthly for heating etc... but the initial loan amount remains smaller!

Correct! Also correct! Whether that is actually economically sensible for the builder is probably rather uninteresting for the provider :D That is very bad, so the offer can’t be assessed at all :o True enough, although without any possibility of comparison, rather a profit opportunity for the supplier :D
