No idea, I have a lot of spruce and some beech. What would be suitable for building is the beech. Felling, sawing, storing, drying. Honestly, as a general contractor/craftsman, I would not use the client's wood. In the end, mold, warping, etc. because it wasn’t properly dried, sawn, or whatever.

At Toredo, the "brought-in" wood is only processed for the forest owner's own house. It is stored there; you have to factor in the time. Delivered today and pushed into production next week, of course, doesn't work.

Not just a trade, but an entire material class to outsource as in-house work would be a real tour de force :p From the butcher's house to the Käferholz house - I would devour the thread  You can even take the idea further: With your own clay pit, you could bake bricks :eek:o_O

Ok then there are probably forest owners who have more than just wood sticks. if wood is stored with them, they have the guarantee that only properly stored and dried wood is processed.

Uh, we did have someone who wanted to make bricks themselves. There was a castle or a Roman fort set up there.
Ah no, I think he wanted to get stones from the forest.

On the other hand: my cousin as a farmer, forest and machine owner has actually had his roof truss made exclusively from his own materials.

So it is indeed possible
