Higher construction costs due to rising lumber prices

Well, learned something again. However, as end customers, we can be relatively indifferent to which market mechanisms lead to a higher price. We cannot change this anyway. Even the purchasers of the BU/GU etc. cannot change the price of the goods. From some of my customers who need wood or steel, I have essentially learned that they have received "take it or leave it" offers.
