My father also used his own wood back then. There were sawmills and it was not exotic in the village.

Yes, I thought that was the one with the fortress. There were probably two. Anyway, there are always these popcorn threads now and then. Actually, it would be interesting to see such a "that won't work" project from start to finish.

So yesterday we received an orientation price of 500,000 for a turnkey wooden frame construction of 165 m2 kfw 40, 1.5 floors from a regional wooden house builder. The Viebrockhaus maxime 700 for 400k as 40+ looked much more tempting...

Buying a forest is also worthwhile as a capital investment and contribution to nature conservation without timber utilization. Just leave it alone and enjoy.

Oh yes, the support pillar is from our own forest.

When I look around in our area, I currently do not want to be a forest owner. You basically only hear the word: beetle! Some have no forest left because almost everything has already been felled. I went for a run last week and thought to run through the large forest area. There is a wreath of trees around the outside and in the huge area inside there is nothing left standing. It is also a mistake of the past that in our area almost only spruce was planted. What the beetle has left standing over the last years was partly taken by the storm.
