White baseboards are a must for me - we once had wood-colored baseboards in a newly built rental apartment: grandma style to the tenth power

here I would like to disagree with you when it comes to engineered wood flooring. For engineered wood flooring, the wear layer is 2.5 to 5.5mm depending on quality. The average is 3.5mm, which at most, depending on condition, can/should be sanded twice. To be safe, I would claim only once sandable. Such a machine removes quite a bit.

I would recommend a 2-layer parquet with a wear layer of 5.5mm, which, due to its construction, must be glued down. This type of parquet has the significant advantage of being more dimensionally stable regarding swelling/shrinkage behavior compared to solid wood planks. As for transition profiles, there are various variations.

But then stick white baseboards... screwing or nailing them on looks shabby.... I think.

It was not finished yet. All the joints are closed, nothing opened anymore, and you actually only see the "staples" if you pay attention.

And yes:
Definitely glue it. Even just the feeling when walking is very pleasant. The wear layer is also 5.5mm with us.

Wear layer with us (Kährs Artisan Collection) 3.5mm - according to Kährs, sandable 2-3 times, meaning we should normally be able to keep the piece for life.

And 3-layer parquet - I just made another price inquiry and am already very much looking forward to the installation.

Very optimistic

of course that's also possible, do you know with what argument the 3-layer was recommended? I don't really understand, especially since 3-layer is somewhat more expensive and a counterbalance is not necessary with full glue-down installation.
3-layer is actually mostly intended as a click version and for floating installation.
Don't get me wrong, I certainly don't want to criticize the decision, just asking out of interest.
