Finishing staircase - parquet

I still do not consider a transition strip there to be the ultimate solution. But it looks significantly more harmonious now, and if you are satisfied, then a significant progress has been made.

Yes, we had also hoped for some kind of stair edge strip or cork, but the problem is actually the moving, floating laid parquet, so the strip is probably the technically best solution.
Cork/silicone would probably only work with glued parquet.
But now it looks like a proper stair edge and compared to before it is very, very much better...

This is Kährs Oak Jersey, about €99 per sqm - certainly not exactly cheap. But we love the honey tone and the bevelled edges.
The installation cost €17 per sqm (this is the usual big city price here...).
