Hello, I have had the Weishaupt Split heat pump LS 8 B R E since July, so far only in summer operation. Today switched to heating operation, the heat pump cycles 6 times between 4 a.m. and 11 a.m. What options do I have to reduce the cycling?

I am a beginner when it comes to heat pumps. 120m² mid-terrace house, 9 radiators, no buffer storage installed. What settings can I use so that the heat pump cycles as little as possible? What settings do you use during the transitional period? I would be very grateful for tips.

Regards

Cycling is hardly avoidable during the transition period because the heating load is simply too low.

I unfortunately can't help you, but I am interested in the tool you are using. I have exactly the same heat pump, but honestly haven't really dealt with it much except for adjusting the heating curve. How do you get that? :)

Where do you live that you already have to turn on the heat pump? Without the heat pump, it is still over 22 degrees inside (Lower Rhine). And in southern Germany, people are currently sitting in the beer garden wearing shorts. I think you can manage another 1-2 weeks without heating and without a sweater in the apartment.

Regarding the question: Cycling in the transition period is normal and not bad. Although many heat pumps should not even start yet due to the temperatures.

It is not a must but rather a way to feel out and get to know the heating control. I live near Karlsruhe and the last 7 nights it was never above 15 degrees. Therefore, I tested it once. The next days, except Friday, it is supposed to be quite cool here (during the day no more than 13 degrees, hence the question about the setting.
