Heat pump in the transition period

Take a look at the instructions for your heat pump, that is first and foremost the be-all and end-all.

I think the curves don’t look good, transition period or not. The cycles are way too short. The heat pump needs 4 cycles before the return temperature changes at all. See if you can also run it (mostly) return-controlled. That is one approach.

Also, you can try to generally make the control more sluggish. No idea what settings your heating system offers there.

Are all ERR open and any overcurrent valves closed?

I have only read the most frequently mentioned points in the instructions. All ERR open. I'll have to check the bypass valve tomorrow. Return-flow controlled? How can that be determined? More sluggish means larger hysteresis? Building set to light?

Usually, heating systems can only be adjusted at around 5°C average temperature. Then again at temperatures well below 0°C. This will not be different for a heat pump than for a gas/oil heating system.

Then you can adjust it properly. However, there is nothing against already providing EH when the control behavior is apparently terrible.

PS: You are of course right, for a new building (?) I also think it is still too early to heat. Let's wait for the change in the weather, then we can say more.
