I am simply thinking very far into the future. Whether and when I will ever need the cables is written in the stars. But it's better to have than to need. I am very "movie" oriented. I am installing a VPL-VW550 ES + a suitable screen. Additionally, DTS-X / Atmos (7.2.4) with 11x Nubert speakers. Cables between the projector and AWR include HDMI, DP, and fiber optic. That should also prepare me for 8k+. Speaker cables are everywhere 2x 4mm copper. I also have 2x 2.5mm copper each from the utility room to all bathrooms, hallway, kitchen, and bedroom. Each will have a Canton InCeiling 865 DT. These serve for announcements and "background music." This way there is a "wellness feeling" in the guest WC. Or when there is mail in the mailbox, there is a friendly "You have mail"

Regards, Steffen

But before your CAT7 cable reaches its performance limits (or you even have an interface with Cat7 at all), the HDMI specification may change, meaning you will need a new cable.

Therefore, a conduit, preferably one size larger than currently needed, and with a nice large radius at the corners. This way, many options are kept open for the future!

The other day I mentioned here the Diginetz law, which mandates glass in new development areas. What does your city administration say about that?

Dude, not bad Steffen. So you must also be active in the Hi-Fi forum, right? I can't make sense of all these abbreviations right now, I have to google them at home. How does the "you have mail" thing work? My wife will stone me if I tell her that.... She says I'm already hanging around in too many forums anyway, it just makes everything more expensive.

I had read that and of course became immediately alert. However, the development of our building area took place starting in 2013/2014 and back then it wasn't like that yet, right?
