At the moment, it is hard to compare anyway, as all providers are currently or in the medium term making price adjustments. We are also among the "lucky ones" who have a Grünwelt contract and fall back into the basic supply tariff. A quick search on the well-known portals shows: As of today, it is significantly cheaper than the offers usually made for a new contract. The suppliers are "burned children" who first add considerable surcharges for new contracts before miscalculating again like in 2021. This is economically understandable. But otherwise, it is speculation that shifts the risks onto the customers. As long as it works, the cash register rings. When it gets tight, the contract is simply canceled.
The price development for new contracts is really intense. Of course, this also depends somewhat on the region, but several cents per kWh for household electricity as well as even 8-10 ct/kWh for heat pump electricity (at least here) is quite extreme.
