Exactly, good observation. We are having a garage designed but will very likely only build a carport. We assume that no one will mind (or do you think/know otherwise?).

In this case, I know nothing else, however, in some construction areas carports are prohibited. Just mentioned in passing :)

Fortunately, that is not the case with us; the development plan always refers to both. In addition, we have also had another carport planned directly at the house, which is built together with the house and thus also beautifies our entrance area :).

For us, it will be exactly the other way around. In the approved plans, we have a parking space and a carport behind it, and we will now build a garage after all. Actually even, ;-) really with bricks and so on. I am currently researching what is allowed and what is not.
