A garage somewhat restricts the planning because usually you have to reserve a parking space length in front of it on your land… with a carport, not.

Whereby this may again be made dependent on whether the garage door is electric or not ;)

I don't think the building authority cares about that. Usually, it’s not decisive… you just build the carport 5 meters back as well. But I wanted to mention it, because often one or the other meter does bother you ;)

Our development plan makes a difference there. Whether someone will come to check that is another question.

Yes, that is exactly what the building authority cares about (at least in BW). This way, no traffic obstruction…
