Front: Ramsjö white

I was at Ikea yesterday and looked at the RAMSJÖ front in white... In doing so, I (and my husband) got the feeling that the front

1. has a pink tint,
2. has different shades of the cassette (top/bottom vs. sides and middle part).

Unfortunately, no complete kitchen is set up and as a display model there is only the 30 cm door in the kitchen exhibition, which (unfortunately?!) is also placed between two ivory-colored fronts.

Has anyone of you seen a complete kitchen with these fronts and can help me?

Yes.

Ramsjö is not painted like the other fronts, Ramsjö is tinted (glazed) and painted (matte clear coat), so the wood grain still shines through.
I can’t remember any pinkish tint, but at Ikea there are no daylight lamps, only a mix of different light spectra.

Exactly, the light is indeed a PRoblem. Therefore the question is whether anyone has the kitchen at home and how he/she assesses the color...

Is the front removable in the exhibition? Then you could take it to the restaurant and judge it in daylight. If that is not possible, then I would buy one, look at it in daylight and return it immediately - provided the front is not covered with a protective film...

Ramsjö white actually has a slight pink tint which will certainly intensify as the front darkens. Ramsjö is a solid wood front, the middle part consists of several layers of veneer. Due to this different construction of the front and the fact that not always the "same tree" is used, these deviations in appearance arise. No offense meant, but I find such questions very amusing. There are only few fronts left that are made of real wood, have "character," and also age. The applied foils with wood look are of course more homogeneous but nowhere near as nice and in quality as real wood, but is that what I want?

Just ask a colleague in the kitchen department, they will gladly take off one of the sample fronts for you and also tell you where the nearest emergency exit door with daylight is.

I am definitely a fan of real wood fronts - that is why I am looking for one! - but if it is white stained, then preferably with a wood/yellow tint (as I would expect with birch) and not in pink...
